Sonnet VI

You are there for me where I have never been.
I feel your touch in corners dark, uncertain,
Under burning rays of light I’ve seen
Your smile within a golden curtain.

When mild December breezes blow
I am recalled to a gentler time and place,
When fantasy climes made imaginary snow—
It is there I am warmed by your embrace.

Parallel rays will converge at infinity
And dreams of light have made us who we are.
When our paths in celestial heavens meet,
Your beauty will burn with every star.

Each poem I write, every song I sing,
Silhouettes of you, in everything.
