If I Should Go

Discuss this poem

If I should go before my time
My spirit leave my body behind
I am alive, I do not die
abiding with my Lord Most high

If I should go and leave you here
You will weep but do not fear
I will be well, I will be whole
for I gave Jesus my soul

If I should go, remember me
Our days of sun and childhood dreams
The time we had to love and give
now just beyond the stars I live.

If I should go, violence take my life and breath
Make my eyes to close in death
Honor my life with peace when you remember me
I will remain in your heart and forever a HOKIE !

Remember me,
If I should go.
