June

Shallow sleepless days repeat
The summer heat and ever-cold;
Memories of winters past.
The sun and last year’s chilling frost
Completes one cycle of the years.
The tears I cried have melted now,
And how they dried in summer sun
Is like the melted snowflakes, gone.
Upon my skin in sleepless night,
Wrong or right, it’s what I’ve done.
