Slipping Back

"Slipping Back"

Can it be,
I am free.
The cost is much,
tough time as such.

Somber, but free,
itís not about fun,
this really isnít me,
I still want to run.

I need my other half,
Iíve looked too long,
I need her now,
she makes me strong.

I, I, I,
Iím so sick of that sound,
I, like the number one,
nobodyís around.

Back into darkness,
the empty pit.
Back slipping,
back into it.

Heart hurting,
but I know itís there.
Heart, I like knowing,
it is still there.

But back I go,
into despair and gloom.
Back I go,
empty house, empty room.

Back to the south side,
negative pole.
Back to where,
no one else will go.

God help me,
I slipped back.
