Well, I don't have much time except to post this, but when i do get the time, I'll come back and reply to everyone's posts. :) I konw how much I love it when people comment on mine, even if they are criticising it. It lets me know that somebody has read my work, even if they hated it. :)
I'd like to say that
Your presence dominates the judgements made on you
(They surround you)
But that's not how it is
Judgements made on you dominate your presence
And so I sit by and watch
(I watch you)
As you let yourself be revealed by their rumors
(they push you forward)
I'm not sure what I believe anymore
Are you real, substantial?
Or are you woven of what they say you are?
(and I think: Little puppet on strings of
whispers and looks)
Would you just go ahead and say
(You stroll by)
Just give me a clue as to what you really feel
Don't let them lead me on
Don't let them close you off
If you do, do
If you don't, don't
(You start moving again)
Just make a move
Doesn't matter if it's yours or theirs
(They laugh, you turn back)
I'm sick of this game of smiles
(and I smile)
(and you smile)
Does it mean anything?
(I start to say...)
(You turn away)
Should I be hurting?
It doesn't matter
