who is this woman?... her powers of observation so acute, stone walled so that no dreams could seduce her. but the images of night would awaken her trembling. forcefully entering her mind in sleep, like emblazend figures on a nighttime horizon tormenting the uncloseable eyes of a mistress who weeps but holds so tight that the tears flow inward and not upon her cheeks
